For Minecraft players experimenting with Skyblock maps, creating a cobblestone generator will likely be one of the first (if not the first) things they'll do to start accumulating resources.
Cobblestone is extremely important in Minecraft's Skyblock survival maps as it is often used to expand the player's home area into other biomes and locations. Without cobblestones, Skyblock players can easily stretch their limited resources and end up in a bad situation. Fortunately, creating an automatic cobblestone fountain is simple and can be done right away on any Skyblock map that provides a bucket of water and lava in your spawn starter chest.
Minecraft: Creating the Cobblestone Generator in Skyblock
While there are a few ways to create a working cobblestone generator, Minecraft Skyblock players who are going through the trials and tribulations of learning the ropes will likely want to keep things simple. Probably the easiest way to create a cobblestone generator involves digging a small shape into the ground, placing a block, then water and lava, and then removing the block. This will allow the water and lava to flow naturally into each other, creating a cobblestone block where the placeholder block used to be.
To create this Minecraft Skyblock block, players will want to start by digging a trench one block deep in the shape of a capital T. Then place a block in the center of this trench, most blocks will do as long as they are not. is not potentially flammable due to the proximity of lava. Once the block is in place, fill the two slots opposite the block with the water and lava provided in the starting buckets. Once these liquids are securely in place, destroy the center block. This will allow lava and water to meet at the center and give Minecraft players their cobblestones. All that's left to do is mine the cobblestone when needed.
Many Minecraft players will notice that this method clearly doesn't produce as many cobblestones as other methods, but for those starting out on a Skyblock map, it can serve the initial purpose of building and expanding. Once players have a more established island and are connected to other areas, they can start using various methods to generate cobblestones in much larger quantities to suit their needs.
